The design of the museum, inspired by feng shui, is best described as torus-shaped. The building rises 77 meters in the air atop a green hill. For the external facade, robotic technology was used to produce 1,024 stainless steel panels that cover 17,600 square meters. The elliptical shape of the Museum of the Future posed a unique challenge during its construction. Architects and designers had to think outside the box to construct the building without any support columns.
